Media Project Interview with Debbie Carter of Chichester City Council

Debbie Carter came to the Avenue De Chartres multi-storey car park to discuss concerns that there might be a shortage of car parking spaces if a Car Free Sunday is held within the city walls.

The car park had a few more cars on it’s top deck than it did on this years international car free day 22nd September 2019. However it was still virtually empty. People who really need to drive into the city on a car free Sunday seem likely to easily find spaces in this giant car park. However, Debbie hopes most people will be able to find alternative forms of transport to visit Chichester on Car Free Sundays.
